While working as an instructor for several years, I have oriented my teaching philosophy to learners. I develop my approaches to help students learn critical thinking and to acquire strategies for problem-solving. I design courses based on the backward design method (book: Teaching at Its Best) and assess student performances following the Bloom's taxonomy method. I use learning management applications (e.g., Slido and Quizizz) to maintain a friendly and encouraging environment which attracts students' engagement. At the heart of my teaching philosophy is my belief that, as faculty, I am not just there to impart knowledge in a classroom setting, but to help students prepare to be successful not only in their jobs, but also in life.
